The Owan Association of Houston Continues Support for Fort Bend Rainbow Room
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Owan Association of Houston (OAH) reaffirmed its commitment to the local community with a visit to the Fort Bend Rainbow Room (FRR) of the Child Protective Services (CPS) Department in Rosenberg, Texas.
The President of OAH Osaretin Ojeiduma was joined for the visit by OAH PRO Emmanuel Igein Airemen, board member Mrs. Catherine Addo-Obasuyi and member Scott Okosun presented a check to the facility’s management following an informative briefing on the crucial work being done at the center delivering hope to many children in the CPS and adults within the APS system who have been dealt an unfortunate hand in life.
During the meeting, Mr. Ojeiduma explained that the Asociation’s membership consists of indigenes of Owan, a region in Edo State, Nigeria, in Africa known for their rich cultural heritage, friendship and support for the community we reside in. He emphasized the Association’s ongoing interest in a collaborative partnership with the FRR. In addition to the financial contribution, OAH leaders highlighted their desire to offer future assistance by volunteering at the FRR warehouse and supporting other activities to help the organization continue its vital mission.

This is amazing work the team is doing. I am proud to see African leaders with this kind of solidarity to support others from their community.
There is a lot of respect to the team. All African people should think this way for developing our community, country, and the future generations.
Thanks
